I have enjoyed a rich career in architecture and now explore the visual arts with the benefit of these architectural experiences. I use a variety of media, usually applied to hard, flat surfaces such as wood, Masonite canvas and artboard. My work begins with an underlying subject and a structure. I then work with photographs, papers, paints, polymers or found objects in a layering process until I achieve what I’m after: an interaction of exciting harmony or dissonance.
