About “Glances”
In this body of work, I began with the most expressive part of the human form: the face. The recognizable features and proportions of the human face are a comforting structure, and yet, the potential to stir and disturb is boundless. The choices of faces, the familiar and unfamiliar, were fairly random. As an artist, I treated each face in a way that has meaning to me. I expect each “glance” will speak to each viewer differently, as glances always do.
